Over the months we have been able to build one of Mysuru's largest open technology events.

This year we will celebrate the power of Open Source and the way it enhances our lives.

Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering is one of the prestigious engineering college in Karnataka. Established in 1997, VVCE has grown in leaps and bounds since inception. VVCE is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, approved by AICTE, New Delhi and recognized by Govt. of Karnataka. VVCE functions through its Board of Governors constituted as per AICTE guidelines. The college is under the able leadership of Dr. B. Sadashive Gowda as Principal, who has rich experience in industry and education field both in India and abroad. Five UG programs are accredited by National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi. The college has excellent infrastructure coupled with qualified and passionate faculty team to provide a perfect learning ambience.

Who is organizing Open Source Day?

Open Source Lab of Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering is responsible for this event. This event was made possible due to the immense support of the management and the Dept. of Computer Science and Engineering of Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering.

Who can participate?

Everyone is welcome to apply, be it students, professionals or turing-test certified androids. If you are under 18 years of age, we’ll need a parental consent form.

What do I get by attending the event?

Enhance your idea about Open Source and meet like minded people.

Is there parking space at the venue?

Yes, the convention centre does have a full-fledged parking facility for 2-wheelers and 4-wheelers. But, in case you are coming in late, you may encounter a full-house. In such a situation, you would be better off if you hailed a cab such as Ola or Uber.

Do we need to bring any equipment for the workshops?

Each workshop will share its own guidelines and pre-requisites. Please refer to the same to figure out—if you need to bring your laptop or not.
